Pray for Justice Samuel Alito and his work on the Supreme Court.


History Note

Samuel Anthony Alito Jr. was born in Trenton, New Jersey, on April 1, 1950. He attended Princeton University (where he expressed a desire to become a Supreme Court justice) and Yale Law School.

He clerked for a federal judge before taking several roles in the U.S. Department of Justice. He argued several cases before the Supreme Court.

President George H. W. Bush appointed him to be a federal judge in 1990. President George W. Bush nominated him to the Supreme Court in 2005, and the Senate confirmed him 58-42.

Justice Alito and his wife have a son and a daughter.
